Privacy Policy

Short version: we don't collect anything.

Here's the long version anyway, in plain language.

What this site does

Head Phone Test runs entirely inside your browser. Every tone you hear is generated on the spot using the Web Audio API — nothing is streamed from a server, and nothing you do here is sent anywhere.

Microphone access

The optional mic test asks your browser for microphone permission, records a few seconds of audio, and plays it straight back to you. That recording stays in your browser's memory for the length of your session and is never uploaded, saved, or shared. Close the tab and it's gone.

Cookies and tracking

This site doesn't use cookies, analytics scripts, or any third-party trackers of its own. We don't know who's visiting, how often, or what device you're testing on.

Language switcher

The language dropdown in the header uses Google Translate to translate the page text. That's a third-party Google service — when you use it, the page content is sent to Google for translation, governed by Google's own privacy policy, not ours. It's entirely optional: if you never touch the language switcher, it never loads anything.

Data we collect

None. There's no account system, no database, and no server logging your results. Your Headphone Health Score exists only on your screen for that session — the "Copy Summary" button is there so you can save it yourself if you want to keep it.

Changes to this policy

If anything here ever changes — say, a future feature needs to store something — this page will be updated to reflect it. Given how little there is here to begin with, a change would be easy to spot.
