About

Hi, I'm Puja

The person behind Head Phone Test — built in the small gaps between a busy family and a keyboard.

A bit about me

I'm a wife, a mom of two, and — somewhere between packed lunches and bedtime stories — a developer. My days are full. Loud, too, most of the time. Wouldn't trade it though.

Coding's been my thing since college, and it never really let go. These days it's mostly stolen half-hours between everything else, but it's still the one hobby that hasn't gotten old.

Why I built this

It actually started with a pair of earbuds my husband bought off some random site. The left one crackled every time he moved his head — could've been the earbuds, could've been him being dramatic about it, hard to say. We went looking for a quick way to actually check, found nothing free or simple, so I got curious and just built one myself over a few evenings.

That's basically the whole origin story. No big master plan, just an annoying pair of earbuds.

How I work on it

I'm not an audio engineer. Just someone who likes poking at small, annoying problems until they're fixed. I add to this site whenever I get a free hour, which usually means after the kids are asleep and I probably should be too.

It'll stay free. No accounts, no ads following you around, nothing quietly collected in the background.

Say hello

Something broken? Confusing? Got an idea worth adding? Tell me — I actually read every message on the Contact page myself.
